Senior Tax Accountant, New York, NY
Research federal/state/local taxation regulations, interpret/implement new or revised laws and recommend tax strategies; Monitor emerging trends/practices, develop an understanding of complex tax rules and their applications to clients’ unique tax situations and provide expertise and consulting services; Coordinate with clients/investment experts and identify profitability by analyzing tax information, calculating key ratios and pinpointing areas of tax savings; Calculate tax provisions, determine/review tax projections, investigate material discrepancies between tax returns and tax accounting records;
Provide innovative tax arrangement for high net worth clients with moderate tax advice regarding their worldwide estate/trust protection plans (e.g. domestic asset and offshore trust consultations); Prepare complex income tax returns (including Subpart F income, CFCs & GILTI tax), assist clients in maintaining compliance with tax regulations; Manage/facilitate IRS income tax audits, provide analysis, audit adjustments, and timely response letters to tax authorities.
Master’s degree in Accounting/Taxation. Advance knowledge of US tax accounting/compliance/audit defense and international taxation (tax treaties, CFCs & Subpart F income, etc.); Strong analytical and research skills with detail orientation.
